Facilitating hybrid meetings
05 August 2022
As part of the University’s commitment to facilitate Smart Working and to learn from the pandemic, colleagues are asked that whenever reasonably possible in-person meetings are set up as hybrid meetings and include an option to join online.
If a hybrid option is not available and attendance at a meeting is only offered as in person then there should be a clear business or practical rationale for this that should be articulated to attendees.
By making this change, we will ensure that all attendees can participate, such inclusive practice being a central part of our commitment to neurodivergent and disabled colleagues as outlined in our recent Disability, Neurodiversity Review.
We recognise that we have a way to go and things to do, including ensuring that we have the right technology, spaces, guidance, and training in place, but wanted to share this direction of travel with you as soon as possible.
