Whiteknights named one of Britain’s top green spaces
25 August 2022
Whiteknights campus has been recognised as one of Britain's top green spaces for the 12th year in a row.
Every year, the Green Flag Award scheme recognises the UK's best public outdoor spaces, with winners judged on the overall quality of green space and the work that goes into keeping grounds in pristine condition.
Andrew Casselden, Director of Estates, said: “The University of Reading is proud to have received its 12th consecutive Green Flag Award. Our Whiteknights campus provides a wonderful setting for our staff and students to study and work in, and also provides a fantastic destination for the local community to enjoy.
“I’d like to thank our hardworking grounds team who put so much time and effort into keeping the campus looking beautiful, and managing it in a way that is adapting to our changing climate.”
