UoR and RBFT invite funding proposals
04 April 2022
The Health Innovation Partnership, a collaboration between University of Reading (UoR) and Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust (RBFT), is renewing its Collaborative Innovation Fund.
The fund is open to colleagues from all professional groups across any grade or area in both the institutions, and will fund new initiatives in Research, Education or Engagement.
Each application must demonstrate existing or potential collaboration between the RBFT and UoR. It should also include at least one Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator from each organisation.
The funding team is keen to hear from new teams, professions and collaborations, and from those who have not been funded before.
If you have an idea but no collaborators, help will be provided on finding collaborators before the application, please contact the HIP.
Applications are also encouraged from interprofessional teams – e.g., catering, sustainability, communications and IT – collaborating on engagement initiatives.
Each project can be funded for up to £60,000 over a 24-month period and will cover directly incurred costs (e.g. the cost of employing fixed-term members of staff, consumables, small equipment). Directly allocated costs (e.g. investigator time) will not be covered.
CIF expects to see a clear plan for legacy, evidencing a return on its investment through means such as: larger-scale external funding, recruitment of new student cohorts, more sustainable working practices, improved patient outcomes.
Further details, including the application form can be accessed here.
Closing date for applications is 4pm on 31 May 2022 with funding to be released from September 2022.
