Green University
This work is being funded by the £3.4 million grant the University was awarded by the Salix Finance Decarbonisation Fund, in recognition of our innovative initiatives for a sustainable campus.
Once complete, the University will have almost 1 MW of solar panels on its Whiteknights campus – almost 4 times as much as 12 months ago – generating 886,000 kWh of electricity each year from 1216 solar panels. This will be enough to power Whiteknights House for over 4 years, thus completing another step towards achieving our long-term goal of being the greenest university in the UK.
Should you have any questions about the works please contact the Senior Project Lead: Rachel Odame.
