Library update: booking not needed for study spaces
06 September 2021
Staff and students will no longer need to book a study space in the library from Monday 6 September; simply bring your Campus Card to swipe through the gates.
This is the first significant change to Library services made since government restrictions eased in the UK and as we prepare for the start of the new academic year. Please see Library News for the latest information and for further changes.
Group study spaces
Group study rooms on the first floor are available for students to book again, just as before the pandemic. The booth seating around the building and the Study Pods on Floors 2 and 4 will return to group space too.
Covid protocols
Please continue to use the one-way system around the building and we encourage you to wear your face covering when moving around indoors.
There may be a few less chairs in some spaces. You’ll also notice some windows open to help provide a good air flow.
Opening times
The Library is currently open 8:30-17:00, Monday to Friday. Click & Collect is available Monday-Friday, 11:00-14:00.
As usual, opening hours will increase during Welcome Week and return to 24/6+ in term time. Keep an eye on our opening hours page for details of our opening hours over the coming weeks.
The Library will be open Saturday 18 September, 8:30-17:00
