Whiteknights campus wins 11th Green Flag Award
15 October 2021
Our Whiteknights campus has been recognised as one of Britain's top green spaces for the 11th year in a row.
Set within 130 hectares, the scenic Whiteknights campus includes a lake, woodlands and the popular Harris Garden - all available for students, staff and the local community to enjoy.
The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
Janis Pich, Director of Estates, said “an 11th Green Flag Award is a tremendous achievement, and one which the University of Reading is very proud of.
“This award is testament to the ongoing dedication of our grounds team, who work so hard to keep our campus looking beautiful.”
