Find out more about University Council
29 November 2021
New webpages have been launched to make Council more transparent and relevant to University colleagues.
Council is the highest-level decision-making committee in the University with responsibility for good governance and stewardship. It aims to promote a positive culture and to safeguard and advance the University’s reputation and autonomy. It has 27 members, comprising of 12 internal members, two of whom are students, and 15 external, or lay, members.
Council meets four times a year and colleagues can request Council meeting papers.
Throughout 2022 we will be regularly profiling Council members on the Portal and offering opportunities for colleagues across the University to engage.
