Pay award 2021-22

The recent update on the University’s financial position indicated that a pay award for the year 2021-22 would now be possible.
I can confirm that this pay award will be made with November salaries, with arrears as appropriate to 1 August 2021. Pay will be increased for most colleagues by 1.5%, with higher percentage uplifts made to the pay points below spinal point 22, up to a maximum of 3.6%.
As noted previously the decision to apply a pay award this year does not assume that another award will follow in the year 2022-23. This will be the subject of further discussion in October 2022.
