Managing Stress

In this 90-minute session, you will: appreciate the difference between stress and pressure, recognise the primary signals, causes and symptoms, map out your own personal support network, and identify practical actions to manage your stress more effectively.

Work Life Balance

When you think of ‘work-life balance’, most people imagine working shorter hours, but this isn’t the full picture. Work-life balance is more about doing the same work, but in a more flexible way. When we work flexibly, we are better able to fit in other important things that happen in life. But it’s not just about ‘time served’. Physical time spent at work is one thing, but the time we are ‘mentally’ at work is another. Many people find it hard to switch off, and this directly affects their ability to engage with friends and family in what should be their free time. Put simply, work-life balance is about achieving the mix of work and personal life that's right for YOU.

Wellbeing for Employees

Three in five employees have experienced mental health issues in the past year because of work, according to a YouGov survey commissioned by charity Business in the Community. So, what steps can be taken to improve wellbeing in the workplace? So many of us (62 percent, according to a poll by Monster.com) feel that awful sense of dread on Sunday nights when contemplating the working week ahead. While it’s natural to feel sad that the sun is setting on our weekends, it’s important for our mental health that we can look forward to our return to work with a sense of excitement. After all, most of us spend more time at work than anywhere else!

Positive Thinking

Positive Thinking is a mental attitude in which you expect good and favourable results. In other words, positive thinking is the process of creating thoughts that create and transform energy into reality. Positive thinking aims to help people be more aware of the power of their thoughts and moods and how to manage them to lead happier and more successful lives. We can choose to be positive or negative, enthusiastic or dull, active or passive. These choices influence our feelings and behaviour, and they can also impact on our physical health. Positive thinkers visualise what they want to happen, not what they wish to avoid.

Managing Change

To be effective, any change needs to be led –or at the very least managed. Many organisations overly focus on the project/process management aspects of change. While this is an important factor, it is not the critical factor ... people are!
Usually when change fails, it fails because managers have not considered the impact change has on the individuals concerned from a psychological perspective. In this 90-minute session you will: consider the realities of change in the workplace, recognise the key drivers of change, practice applying your change management skills, appreciate how people typically react to change and recognise the essential do’s & don’ts for managing change.

Mindset

Mindset impacts the way we view the world, and how we think and act around others. In the workplace, it’s vital that we take on a growth mindset, where we allow ourselves to embrace change, learn from mistakes and develop because of them, rather than despite them. Positive energy in the workplace will not only transform your life but increase your team’s capacity for achieving and overachieving goals.
