Volunteer for Virtual Open Days

Colleagues may be aware that our University is delivering the June Open Days this year as Virtual Events. Our online Open Days will take place over a 3-hour period as follows:

• Thursday 17 June – 16:00-19:00
• Saturday 19 June – 09:00-12:00

The events will be hosted on an ‘Open Day online hub microsite’ and will include; programmed live sessions from academic colleagues, student support and service providers using the Microsoft Teams Live platform, and the opportunity for visitors to watch pre-recorded material, explore our campus using virtual tours, and find out more through video content and other web material about the University and our courses.

In order to successfully run the Virtual Open Days we need a large number of colleagues to help with producing the Microsoft Teams Live sessions for subject sessions, student Q&A and university life sessions. We are hugely grateful that so many colleagues have already volunteered to support us, but we are still in need of a few more volunteers on Saturday 19 June from 09:00-12:00. Training will be provided for anyone new to producing or to those who need a reminder. It is also worth noting that colleagues will need to be available for a practice session with their department prior to the event.
