Care about community? Join Community Action Partnership
05 May 2021
The Community Action Partnership (CAP) is a forum for change makers, community activists and forward thinkers who want to improve the lives of our wider community.
We exist to improve, enhance and coordinate the University of Reading and RUSU’s efforts to engage with our wider community. The CAP joins up staff and students who are passionate about, have ideas or are involved in existing activities related to topics that enhance engagement with the wider community.
There are currently 4 streams which you can join with info on when they are starting:
- Wellbeing stream (Monday 10 May – 11:00-11:50) – Stream lead: Bandy Karki (welfareofficer@rusu.co.uk)
- Environmental sustainability stream (Wednesday 12 May 11:00-11:45 – Stream leads: Elisha Russell (elisha.russell@reading.ac.uk) and Laura Byrne (l.m.byrne@student.reading.ac.uk)

- Core CAP (Thursday 20 May – 15:00-15:50 (this will bring together the updates from all streams and cover any topics outside those themes.) – Stream lead: Molli Cleaver (m.cleaver@reading.ac.uk)
The CAP is fully flexible so you can choose your level of commitment. Whether you show up regularly or just once your input is valuable. If you'd like to join a stream (or multiple ones) then please email the stream leads who can add you to the invite.
The CAP is open to any staff member or student at the University of Reading or RUSU so please feel free to share with anyone who may be interested.
These meetings will run on a monthly basis so if you can't make the next meeting it's not a problem, just email the relevant stream lead for an invite.
If you have any questions about the CAP please feel free to email m.cleaver@reading.ac.uk.
