Cedars Hotel is now open

The Venue Reading team are now taking bookings at the Cedars Hotel.

Over the past few months, the team have been working hard to make sure the facilities are safe and ready to welcome guests back. Specific safety measures have been put in place following the advice from the UK Government and Public Health England to give guests the confidence during their stay.

A number of COVID-19 Guidelines and Risk Assessments are in place along with updated processes to maintain cleanliness during guests' stay:

• The hotel check-in process is now completed without coming into contact with anyone and key cards are sanitised before use.
• Bedrooms are already cleaned to a high spec, but additional deep cleaning takes place between bookings focusing on common touch points including, switches, handles, bathroom surfaces, kettles, remote controls etc.
• Items that may not be necessary have been removed but are available on request. This includes hair dryers and stationery. The ironing facilities are available by request and will be cleaned after use.

Venue Reading are also passing on the VAT saving to guests. The discounted rates for University colleagues will be even more discounted taking into account VAT savings at the time of the booking.
