Class of 2021 virtual celebrations

Finalists have now received their exam results and we are keen to honour their achievements in what has been an incredibly difficult year. 

Across the summer, the Graduation and Events teams have planned some exciting virtual activities to celebrate the class of 2021. You should be aware by now that a Sway page has been setup for each school and has been circulated internally to school staff.

Sway allows staff, students, and supporters to post congratulatory videos for finalists. We encourage you and your school colleagues to join in to show your support for the class of 2021.

You will find a link to your School’s Sway page on the Graduation Essentials Webpage. Your Head of School has the password for the relevant grid. If you need any support on using Sway please do refer to our Further Information.

The Sway pages will be open to finalists and their supporters from Monday 12 July to Friday 23 July 2021. Please do post your own video via the Microsoft Form unique to your School at any point during this period.

You can also get involved on social media by using #uorclassof2021 to share your messages of celebration and support.

Family members, friends and any other supporters will not be able to use the Microsoft Forms pages but instead can submit their own celebratory videos (around 30 seconds in length) by emailing virtualcelebrations@reading.ac.uk and including the name of the School/Department that their graduate is part of. 

Whilst it is a shame we cannot be together to congratulate finalists in person, this will provide us with a positive, celebratory and social environment for our school staff, students and supporters.
