Recruitment for Teaching and Learning Deans
02 February 2021
We are pleased to announce that a recruitment process has now started for three posts of Teaching and Learning Dean. These senior leadership roles will be filled from 1 August 2021 when current postholders reach the end of their terms.
What does the role entail?
The role has been reshaped to allow greater focus on direct engagement with Schools and an increased focus on contribution to the development of University policies to enhance all aspects of the student experience. As a member of the senior Teaching and Learning executive team, you will provide inspirational leadership, support for and oversight of teaching and learning activities, including collaboration with external partners. You will develop, lead and drive forward the University's strategic priorities both for T&L and for the University as a whole.
If you have a strong track record of leadership, a genuine interest in developing collaborative and sector-leading practices across our University and demonstrable experience of managing T&L initiatives, we encourage you to apply.
Our University is committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce and receiving applications from the widest range of backgrounds will help us recruit a diverse and inclusive senior leadership.
Given the under-representation of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic colleagues in leadership roles, we are particularly keen on applications from these groups. We also welcome applications where a flexible working pattern and/or job-share is proposed.
