Coffee mornings: Parent and Family Network

Following a suggestion in our recent survey, the Parent and Family Network is starting a series of monthly, informal coffee mornings which will run in addition to our termly, speaker-led events. These will have a topic but no set agenda or speaker and anyone is welcome to drop in for a general chat with other parents and carers. The sessions for this Spring/Summer are below:

• Wednesday 5 May (11am): Going on/returning from maternity, paternity and adoption leave - Have you recently returned from maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or are you expecting to go on leave in the near future? Join us to chat with other parents in the same situation about your experiences, tips and questions.

• Thursday 27 May (11am): Results of the survey on the impact of the pandemic on staff with childcare responsibilities - Join us for a conversation about some of the results from the 400 responses to our recent survey on the impact of the pandemic and associated childcare closures on colleagues with childcare responsibilities.

• Wednesday 30 June (11am): Transitioning to primary school - Is your child moving to primary school in September and you have questions or concerns? Have your children already made this move and you'd like to share your experiences and tips with others? Do you have questions about how to apply for primary school? Join us to chat with other parents about how to help your children (and you) navigate the move to primary school, and maybe even meet some fellow parents at the same school.

• Late July (date/time tbc): Transitioning to secondary school - Is your child moving to secondary school in September and you have questions or concerns? Have your children already made this move and you'd like to share your experiences and tips with others? Do you have questions about how to apply for secondary school? Join us to chat with other parents about how to help your children (and you) navigate the move to secondary school, and maybe even meet some fellow parents at the same school.
