White Ribbon Day: self defence workshop

Join Reading Students' Union and Soar With Us Self Defence for a day of empowerment, awareness and action in honour of the 35th anniversary of the White Ribbon movement.

Staff are welcome at the workshop, with the Women@Reading staff network supporting the initiative.

Among the topics covered at the workshop will be:

• Emotional abuse
• Psychological violence
• Sexual violence
• Gender-based violence
• Health and safety
• Breakout sessions
  • Option 1: Personal safety and self defence workshop in 3SIXTY (Women only)
  • Option 2: Personal safety and self defence workshop in Flex in the SU (Women only)
  • Option 3: Roundtable discussion in the Reading SU Boardroom
