Join the first Diversity and Inclusion Community of Interest (DICOI) meeting of the new year on Tuesday 19 November.
We’ll hear from colleagues who successfully bid for D&I project funding last year with an update on what they’ve achieved so far, including:
- Climate science and the legacy of Empire (Professor Joy Singarayer, Lecturer, Meteorology)
- Reclaiming Hidden Narratives in STEM (Dr Fazil Baksh, Lecturer, Mathematics and Statistics)
- Catching up on Digital Accessibility (Martin Watts, Head of Content, and Dr Tharindu Liyanagunawardena, Digital Accessibility Officer)
This will be a hybrid meeting with an in-person option to attend in room 201 at the Henley Business School on Whiteknights Campus. The first half hour will be for networking and socialising in person before the meeting starts. Colleagues joining online can join the meeting at 13:00.
There will be tea and coffee for those attending in person, but you will need to bring your own reusable cups.
All staff with an interest in Diversity and Inclusion are welcome to attend DICOI meetings. You can find more information on the DICOI webpage.
Please complete the DICOI Sign-Up Form by Monday 4 November. This form lets us know the numbers attending in-person or online for catering and any accessibility or dietary requirements.
In addition, the DICOI organising committee would like DICOI members' feedback on previous meetings and suggestions for future meeting topics, please complete the DICOIC 2024-25 survey by Friday 8 November to share feedback.
