Event Information
The opportunities and challenges associated with the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) in education will be the focus of an open seminar for colleagues in June.
A panel of colleagues and invited guests will discuss AI and diversity and inclusion in the HE teaching and learning context at the latest Diversity and Inclusion Community of Interest (DICOI) meeting.
The DICOI seminar takes place on Tuesday 11 June 2024, 13:00-15:00, in Carrington 101, Whiteknights campus (with refreshments and lunch from 12:30) and online on MS Teams.
DICOI provides a welcoming space for discussion of diversity and inclusion practice and networking with likeminded colleagues. Find out more on the Diversity webpages.

- Dr Saman Rizvi, Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of Cambridge.
- Professor Elizabeth McCrum, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Education and Student Experience, University of Reading.
- William Haresceugh, fourth year student at the University of Reading and founder of Founder of Aimful, an AI-Powered Coaching App for Personal Development.
How to register
All colleagues are welcome to join the hybrid event in person or online. Spaces in person are limited due to venue space.
