Join us for this exciting event as we warmly welcome Professor Joy Singarayer to the next instalment of our Career Champions series. Jointly led by the BAME+ Allies Network and the Women at Reading Network, celebrating Women’s History Month, we listen as Joy shares her experiences and journey to date. Leading researcher, Head of Department, change-maker, and ambassador for UoR – collector of the organisation’s 2022 Queen’s Anniversary Prize with the Vice-Chancellor!

About Joy
Joy Singarayer’s research focuses on how human-environmental coupled processes, at the land surface, interact with climate change in the past and future. She also has a strong interest in developing UoR work culture to promote inclusive environments and equity of opportunity so that all our staff and students can thrive.
Currently Joy is joint Head of the Meteorology Department and is also an active member of the Well-being, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equality committee. She moved to the University of Reading in August 2013. Prior to that Joy was a lecturer and then senior lecturer in the School of Geographical Sciences at the University of Bristol.
