Event Information
You are invited to the UoR Student-led Zine launch event on Tuesday 27 February (11:30 - 12:30).
In a collaborative project between the UoR Student Panel and Inclusion Consultants, students have adopted creative approaches to explore their experiences of diversity, inclusion, belonging and community at Reading. Created in highly interactive workshops, the ‘Road to Unity’ UoR student-led zines (short for ‘fanzines’) series pull together unique student insights and aspirations for decolonising the curriculum and inclusive learning environments. The zines supplement the UoR Decolonising the Curriculum resources, especially by capturing the voices and experiences of our student community in an authentic and non-traditional medium in the higher education context.
At this event, you will hear from students and colleagues who contributed and created the zines and grab your own copy!
Following the showcase, you are welcome to stay for a fun and informal magazine-making workshop for beginners (12:30 - 13:45, please register for the workshop separately). You can give zine-making a go, whilst we collectively consider how creative approaches to student voice and partnership could support your practice.
This workshop will be facilitated by colleagues in Centre for Quality Support and Development and Student Success and Engagement. (All materials will be included).
