Gender and Ageing: an interdisciplinary seminar

This seminar showcases research on women’s experiences of ageing, with particular emphasis on the workplace and social media. Two papers will be presented and discussion will centre on themes of ageing, ageism, continuity and social change. Refreshments will be provided, and all are welcome to attend! 

The papers we will discuss are: 

• 'Gendered Ageism at Work; what can we learn from menopause research?'  Tatiana Rowson (University of Reading)     
• 'Older female influencers and the re-ordering of the body?’ Vicki Harman (University of Reading), Malene Gram (Aalborg University, Denmark), Stephanie O’Donohoe (University of Edinburgh), Benedetta Cappellini (Durham University).
