Colleagues are invited to the Natural History Museum’s informal drop-in event on Thursday 14 September at the Gateway Building where the Museum will be sharing its plans for the collections, research and digitisation centre planned at Thames Valley Science Park (TVSP) in Shinfield.

- Drop-in session 2: 18:15–20:00

Subject to planning permission, the Museum will build a sustainable new centre at TVSP in partnership with the University of Reading. By 2031, the centre will be operational, equipped with cutting edge laboratories, space for Museum scientists and purpose-built storage for 28 million specimens – from anteaters to zebras, shells to ancient fossils.
A planning application to develop the site will be made later this year. Ahead of this, the Natural History Museum is inviting local residents to attend a drop-in session to find out more from Museum staff about the plans and see the building designs. Teas and coffees provided.
