The School of Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Science (SAGES) would like you to join for a hybrid Conversation with Professor Patricia Noxolo in discussion with Associate Professor Sally Lloyd-Evans.
Professor Pat Noxolo is a British geographer who is a professor at the University of Birmingham. She is the Chair of the Society for Caribbean Studies. Since receiving her PhD from Nottingham Trent University in 2000, Pat Noxolo has held research posts at Birmingham University and at Leicester University, and lectureships at Coventry, Loughborough and Sheffield Universities.
She took up her lectureship at Birmingham in January 2014 and she was promoted to Professor in 2022, becoming one of very few Black professors in the UK. Her research brings together the study of international culture and in/security, and uses postcolonial, discursive and literary approaches to explore the spatialities of a range of Caribbean and British cultural practices.
