Event Information
The International Student Barometer (ISB) was run earlier this academic year to better understand the international student experience in Reading, and to give us opportunities for improvement.
The survey is benchmarked against other universities in the UK and abroad. This year, we have received completed surveys from roughly 1,000 international students. The survey includes international students at UG, PGT and PGR level who are enrolled in the UK. Offshore students are not included.
Robin Hallows from i-graduate (who run the ISB) will be giving a presentation to Reading staff on the results of the survey on Monday 20 March, allowing you to see the data first hand.
Robin’s presentation will take just under an hour and will be given online on MS Teams. The presentation will be recorded, and Robin’s slides will be made available afterwards.
We have extended the session to 90 minutes to leave time for questions for anyone who is able to stay. This invitation is open to all colleagues at the University.
The presentation will cover all aspects of international student experience, including:
- Decision making
- Arrival / getting started
- Learning
- Living
- Support
- Recommendation
- Employability
- Wellbeing
