MERL and Special Collections Archives and Library Open Day

Learn more about the archive and library collections at The Museum of English Rural Life (The MERL) and University of Reading Special Collections at the Archives and Library Open Day.

This drop-in event for staff, academics and students will be held in the Reading Room in The MERL on London Road campus.

There will be opportunities to:

• Find out about teaching with collections and how your students could benefit from engaging with the rich and varied collections housed here.
•  Learn how to access the reading room, search catalogues and explore collections for your research.
• Discover how we care for and use the University's incredible collections.
• Hear about the work of archivists, rare book librarians and paper conservators.
• Learn about the current collections projects.
• Visit the archive store and digitisation suites.
• See some very special items on display.
