Therapeutic Parenting: Supporting child mental health

This online session will explore the role of applied psychology in therapeutic parenting.

It has been organised by the Parent and Family Staff Network as part of Children's Mental Health Week (6-12 February).

The event will include interactive elements and research-based strategies to calm the nervous system when children feel overwhelmed. It will also consider ways schools and parents can work together to support children's mental health.

The session will be led by Laura Purser, Lecturer in Primary Education and Academic Programme Director at the University of Reading.
