Staff Portal

The Staff Portal is the University’s internal-only online staff hub, with a host of information about working at the Reading.

It features a toolbar at the top of the homepage linking to frequently used pages, such as the website A-Z, Blackboard, the employee self-service hub, and welfare support information.

The 'Key Information' side bar on the right hand side of the homepage also links to useful information pages, such as how to help students in a crisis, information on the University Strategy, and updates on our financial challenges work.

• Top tip: Search for a particular story or information page on the Portal using the 'Staff Portal Search' tool underneath the main search bar. This will give you much better results.

News stories

The main source of University news and updates. We feature around 1-2 stories a day, covering all walks of life as a University colleague.

If you have a suggestion for a Staff Portal story, email the Staff Engagement team with the details.

Events listings (staff only)

If your event is for the University community only (ie: not a public event), we can feature it in our staff event listings, accessible via the link at the top of the page.

Please email us with details, including date, venue, time, and how people can attend.

Please note: all event organisers, including those planning for an internal audience, must follow the process set out in the Events Guide.

Notices

Notices are short bulletins giving colleagues timely updates on short term issues. They can also be access using the link at the top of the page.

Notices are usually reserved for updates about estates and facilities, such as roadworks or unplanned outages.

Any member of staff can post a Notice.
