Chancellors Awards given for academic achievement
30 January 2024
The accomplishments of our highest achieving students across all areas of study were rewarded at a special celebration, taking place earlier this month.
Seventy students were each presented a Chancellor’s Award for achieving top marks in their subjects during academic year 2022/23, at a ceremony in our Great Hall on 23 January 2024.
Each year, awards are given to students achieving the highest average weighted mark (from marked modules) for Parts 0, 1 and 2, as well as for Part 3 of an Integrated Master’s Programme.
Paul Lindley OBE, Chancellor, was joined by Vice-Chancellor Professor Van de Noort CBE and Reading Students’ Union President Edward Gregory to present the awards, with friends, family and supports also in attendance.
Speaking at the event, Paul Lindley said: “I am extremely proud that we are able to showcase such an inspiring group of individuals, I hope this award will be of benefit to you in the future, particularly as you start to think about your forthcoming careers. I sincerely wish each and every one of you success and good luck in all that lies ahead.”
