Personal Titles academic promotion process 2024/25

We are pleased to publish the updated guidance and forms for the Personal Titles process for academic promotion to Associate Professor (or Research Grade 8) and Professor (or Research Grade 9) for 2024/25.

Detailed guidance on the process, the criteria for 2024/25 and the relevant forms can be found on the HR Academic Promotions webpage.

Please note that all forms have been updated to improve digital accessibility and the latest versions must be used.

Training sessions

During the autumn term, Pro-Vice-Chancellors Professor Elizabeth McCrum and Professor Dominik Zaum will deliver training for potential applicants.

The sessions, titled ‘Personal Titles 2024/25 - Applying for Academic Promotion to Associate Professor or Professor’ can be booked via UoRLearn and will run on the following dates:

• Wednesday 9 October 2024, 14:00-16:00 (in person).
• Wednesday 16 October 2024, 08:00-10:00 (online).
