Find out about the extra financial support you could receive in the form of Bursaries and Awards.

How to apply

To apply for this scholarship you should submit the application form online with all applicable evidence. Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered. Go to the “Actions” menu and then click on “Financial Support”. From this page you will be able to click on the link “Begin/Continue application for financial support or bursary”. When you have completed your online application you will get an acknowledgment email sent to you. The guidance notes can be found below.

Closing date for applications is 3 June 2024. You can submit your application online at any time during the academic year and awards will be made throughout.

What is the award worth

This award provides, in the region of £1,000 (depending on actual need), however all applications are considered on a case-by-case basis and it is available (dependent on eligibility) for 1 year only.

Who is eligible to apply

  • UK/EU undergraduate students with a recognised disability that fits within the University of Reading's definition
  • Available to students of a full-time or part-time undergraduate course with an element of Theatre Arts or History

In order to be considered for this award students must be undertaking travel/study/work abroad that is relevant to their degree programme
