By this point you will have completed your 40 hours of activity between the ‘Global Awareness’ and ‘Global Actions’ elements. Within the Global Understanding stage, you will be asked to produce a short piece demonstrating how you feel you have become globally engaged and challenged pre-conceptions you previously held.
You will be set a submission date of one week from the successful submission of your activity log. We do not anticipate that his stage of the award should take any longer than one hour.
This can be done by a written piece i.e. blog post (minimum of 300-400 words) or video/podcast (minimum 3-4 minutes). This reflection can be unstructured (free flowing) or you may want to utilise the structured format provided. This is a private reflection between yourself and the RED team (enabling you to be honest in your reflection), however, there will be opportunities for pieces to be published for celebration and promotional purposes and we will ask you if you would be happy to share your piece at the time of submission.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the RED team.
Final step to completing the Award
At this stage you will have submitted your entry to demonstrating your development in being globally engaged. You will then be asked to complete a reflection and evaluation section on your ‘Pathway’ and this is the final step to completing the RED Global Engagement Award.
You will be guided through a selection of questions to enable you to reflect on how your learning has impacted you, to ensure that it is embedded, as well as support you to express your learning to future employment opportunities.
On successfully completing the RED Global Engagement Award, it will be added to your supplement annex and a digital certificate will be provided.
