Are you considering digging deeper into your academic subject, stretching yourself further academically, perhaps you need to undertake a conversion course in order pursue you chosen career in law or as a psychologist or you feel destined for an academic career in research and becoming an expert in your field.  The series of events on postgraduate study are aimed at helping you decide if postgraduate level study is right for you, as well as giving you practical information on when and how to apply, how to write strong applications, as well as funding.  Some of our events will also have speakers who are studying towards their Masters or working on their PhD to bring to life what its really like.

17 November | 13:00 - 14:00 | Masters applications – personal statements by Victoria Godsell, Careers Consultant

An effective personal statement is a key element of the recruitment process for master's programmes, so your statement needs to be targeted and impactful to give you the best chance of securing an interview!

Introduction to PhD study - entry requirements, supervisors, funding, how to apply and more. There will also be time for the presenters to answer questions.

Come along to this 30 minute information session to find out more about study at postgraduate level at the University of Reading.  You will get to hear the practical side such as – funding, application process and tips, as well as hear from current Masters students about what its really like. After the session there will be time for questions for the speakers.
