I need to do a DBS for the role I’ve been selected for, what does this entail?
A DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) is carried out if your work involves working with vulnerable groups of people. A search of the Police National Computer/Local Police Records is carried out to ensure that you are a suitable candidate to work with vulnerable young adults and children
You will need to look out for an email from GBG Online Disclosures asking you to fill out your DBS application. Once you have got to the stage where you have chosen three documents that you can provide as verification, please come to our help desk in the Carrington building with the original copies of these documents. We can then verify your application and you should then receive your certificate in the post to the address you provided around 2-3 weeks later.
You will need to ensure you apply for a National Insurance number, open a UK bank account and ensure you do not work more hours than your visa permits (if applicable).
What is the deadline for me to submit my timesheets?
All Campus Jobs workers need to submit their timesheets by the submission date listed on the Campus Jobs Deadlines. You must submit your timesheet within 40 days of completing the work otherwise you may risk not being able to be paid for the work
How much could I get paid?
If applying for a job through our portal, the rate of pay will always be listed on the advert. Alternatively, you will be able to see how much you will be paid by hour through details outlined in the Stage 2 job offer email.
The Temporary Worker Framework includes the most common rates of pay paid through Campus Jobs and the associated job titles.
