Everything you need to know about arriving in halls, including useful contacts to remember.

Arriving at halls

Please arrive directly at your Hall reception to check in and collect your room keys/card.

You will need to bring some key documents when you arrive, so you might want to keep these handy:

  • Photo ID (e.g passport, driving licence)
  • Any official paperwork you have received from the University
  • Bank details, card etc
  • Visa information

Travelling to halls

For all the information you need on getting to your new Halls of residence, transport information and addresses, please follow the link below, and go to the ‘Your Arrival’ section.

 

Internet access

Please note you cannot connect to Halls WiFi before you have completed your student registration process and collected your Campus Card.

Fast, free WiFi is available in all University accommodation delivering access to University services and the internet via the Glide Home Network service.

Out of hours arrival

If your group reception is closed when you arrive please use the call point outside the entrance to your Hall or call the Halls Hotline on 0800 029 1984.

Halls Hotline

0800 029 1984 

The Halls Hotline is open 24 hours a day. 365 days of the year to help with any issue relating to living in halls, for example maintenance issues, out of hours help, emergencies and security concerns.

Laundry

There are laundry facilities around the campus for you to use. All are accessible 24 hours a day containing washing machines and tumble dyers. For more information on where your halls nearest laundry facility is located, please check in the ‘Group Facilities’ section in the PSE Guide 2021/22.
